NI Water

The latest version of NIWater.com is a massive step forward from the previous website in terms of user experience, user focused content and service fulfilment, alignment with NI Water’s communication goals and cross-platform rendering and performance.

We started our ‘Discovery’ phase with the most important element of every website – the user. Through conducting a series of content workshops we were able to design a site focused on the key tasks and data that diverse users needed.

By pulling operational data from NI Water’s management information systems users can now enter their postcode and be presented with the current status of water supply in their area, either in map or list form. As well as improving UX this has resulted in a major channel shift of customer contact from the call centre to the website.

The site also contains rich interactive educational content and interactive maps showcasing NI Water’s investment in the local infrastructure.

All content is managed via .NET ASP content management system and the site has emergency modes to handle crisis communication online.
